Directions by Road

We are rather easy to find on the A351 between the 'Bakers Arms' roundabout on the A35 and Wareham train station. If you are using a SatNav please note our address is not No.2 Sandford Road, we are about 2 miles NE of Wareham just outside the village of Sandford. Please keep us informed if you are running late and rest assured your room will certainly be waiting whatever time you arrive.

Public Transport

Holton Heath and Wareham train stations are approximately 1.3 and 1.8 miles away respectively. The latter is served better by taxis (and the No. 40 bus) and the distance given is from the North side of the tracks (a short footbridge links both platforms). See National Rail Journey Planner and contact details.

The 'Home Farm' bus stop conveniently brings you almost to our door, directly linking to Wareham town centre & train station, Swanage Steam Railway (Norden), Corfe Castle, Swanage, Poole, Upton and even more in between. The 'Purbeck Breezer' No. 40 is operated by Morebus and the 'Jurassic Coaster' X54 is operated by FirstGroup. Finally the nearest National Express coach stop is in Wareham town centre.

Our closest airport is Bournemouth International Airport which is about 15 miles away and accessed either by train or bus via Bournemouth Rail & Coach station (also known as the Travel Interchange). From here trains go direct to Holton Heath and Wareham stations, National Express coaches go direct to Wareham town centre and the 'Purbeck Breezer' No. 40 & 'Jurassic Coaster' X54 buses bring you almost to our door (both of these options require one change at Poole when travelling from Bournemouth).

Our closest ferry port is the Port of Poole being just another 15 minutes away. Channel crossings are provided by Brittany Ferries, with two daily sailings to Cherbourg and a journey time of almost 4 hrs 15 mins. There is also a fast ferry from May to September therefore reducing the journey time to just over 2 hours. Condor Ferries has a route to St. Malo from May to September, with a journey time of almost 4 hours 30 minutes. Condor Ferries also operates daily services from April to October to St. Peter Port in Guernsey, which take 2 hrs 30 mins and to St. Helier in Jersey taking 3 hours.
